When buying quality handmade goods from outside the USA, purchasing only certified fair trade is the only way to go. Knowing that you have supported international businesses that pay fair wages, don’t employ children, maintain safe working conditions and recognize workers’ rights allows you to be proud of your purchase. Many high quality recycled products were invented outside the USA and deserve recognition. These industries often become a point of regional pride where they are created. We believe that buying straight from the source is to support the most basic of artist’s rights. We also believe in protecting artistic integrity through responsible international purchasing. This is why we buy only from certified companies or direct from the artist themselves when we shop outside US borders.
